After every sale, we collect variable fees charged per item. These fees include Commission fees (fee charged as a percentage of the total sale depending on the classification of the product), closing fees (only charged on media category).

Scheme Starter Ideal Ideal Pro Business

The selling method used in the marketplace depends on each seller, they either sell as a reseller of products already in existence, as a brand owner or sell under a private label, or BOTH, whichever will best suit your business.

Listing Products

Before you offer to sell a product, you must comply with our policies and other laws and regulations as outlined in our policy document. Selling a product on Shopperx Mart 9ja depends on the product itself, the category it belongs to and the brand. Some categories require approval to sell, some are open to all sellers and some includes products that can’t be sold by a third party. All products sold in the marketplace should be strictly new and not pre-owned. Product listing is created in order to display and start selling in the marketplace. Our catalogue is filled with existing products; you can either match the products already in the catalogue or create a new one (New product).

Listing and uploading a product is an easy task depending on the scheme you subscribe to. Sellers can list their products one after the other. Business sellers have the opportunity to list in bulk using third party systems (bulk loading or inventory management systems or file upload)

Some products are classified as prohibited or restricted on the marketplace. Our customers believe in us when shopping on the site and it’s our obligation to protect them against sale of certain products.

Prohibited products such as counterfeit, illegal or unsafe should not be listed for sale, we have zero tolerance regarding this. Any seller that lists such will have their relationship with us terminated, and if goods are kept in our warehouse, such goods will be destroyed without reimbursement, we might take further legal action when required.

Products such as alcohol, food, drugs, cosmetics, Tobacco, export control etc. While accepting the role of the FDA in regulating and controlling manufacturing, distribution, sale, importation and exportation of such restricted products, we require sellers that list in these categories to have valid registration documentation before selling in the marketplace. FDA regulated items are only limited to local Shopperx Mart 9ja sellers, and all accounts managed by us. Penalty for listing and selling without compliance will be the same state above.

Branded products are sold by the brand owner or an authorised reseller given permission to do so. Sellers should avoid infringing on other people’s intellectual property, check WIPO, EUIPO, UK IPO, IPLAN websites for information about copyright, patent, trademark etc. Please consult a legal practitioner when not sure before listing on the marketplace.
