There might also be different superstitions, depending on the area. For instance, in Montenegro, the brides were required to move over a pushover that had been covered in knives because this was supposed to guarantee that they would have males. Additionally, it was common practice in Kosovo for the wife to bite sir off of her mother-in-law’s hand. This was intended to keep the two’s ties calm and to guarantee their happiness and success.

There would be a lot of dance and wild fun following the civil and religious festival. Individuals enjoyed drinking rakia to savor the happiness of marriage.
